Dec 10, 2025 - FASSelangor FC will host Lion City Sailors FC for the sixth Group G match of the ACLTWO 2025/26 campaign at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya tonight at 8:15pm.
In their second appearance in this competition, the Red Giants were drawn into Group G alongside Bangkok United FC, Lion City Sailors FC, and Persib Bandung.
According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Christophe Gamel, he emphasised that he still wants to secure a win even though this is the team’s last match of the ACLTWO 2025/26 campaign.
“For me, whether this is the last match or not, winning remains the priority and securing three points is very important. I will also be assessing several players, especially the younger ones and those who have just returned from injury. They will be given minutes because this is part of their development process. At the same time, we need to play wisely and avoid anything that could disrupt the team’s consistency. We must make the best decisions based on our current squad situation as I have released several players for national duty. For me, family comes first, then the country. With the squad we have now, we will still give our very best,” he explained.
“In terms of injuries, some of our foreign players are still not fully fit for tonight’s match. However, Mamadou Diarra and Fazly Mazlan have returned to the team after serving suspensions. A few young players may also be included in the squad. If they make mistakes, it is part of the learning process. None of us are the same as we were at 18. I trust them, and we will improve on these shortcomings together,” he added.
In terms of player availability, three players remain sidelined: Sharul Nazeem with an ACL injury, Kevin Deeromram with a hip injury, and Zach Clough who is recovering from hip muscle injury. Meanwhile, Zikri Khalili has fully returned to team activities, and both Fazly Mazlan and Mamadou Diarra are available after their suspensions. The Red Giants players who take to the pitch tonight are ready to give their best in this final Group G match of the ACLTWO 2025/26.
Selangor FC’s management is confident the team will continue to give their all tonight. Come on, Red Giants!
